Camila, the self-titled debut album of newly solo Camila Cabello, hit stores. Spotify, Apple Music, and other music platforms acquired the song on January 12th, 2018. This album was her first as a solo act after she split from her former group, Fifth Harmony, back in 2016. Since then, Cabello had been collaborating with artists until early this year, when her album dropped.

The album has an almost overwhelming 11 tracks, each showing a different side of her artistry, and revealing her emotions. The album has an electric feel to it, with every track coming alive in a different way. Her album also features one artist, Young Thug. The album has earned Cabello a handful of award nominations, which include Echo Award for Best International Rock/Pop Female Artist and Echo Award for Best International Newcomer.

This album has impacted my life, in a very positive way, and track speaks to me in a differently. Favorites of mine are “Never Be The Same” and “Into It.” When asked, Emma W., 10th grader, said her favorite track was “Havana”, because of its “Latina pop” vibe.

Overall, this album has brought in high praise for the young Cabello and showed her longevity as a blossoming solo artist.
