After weeks of preparation, North Eugene Track Team has shown promising efforts for this 2018 season.
While not being able to uphold the win of the meet, a few seniors and 2 sophomores managed to hold their own in getting first place in their events. To most track athletes it wasn’t a big loss to lose the race, mostly knowing that its only the second race, and the season has only started.
One senior in particular, Jack Ferguson, did exceptionally well in his events despite having a hamstring injury constantly being treated between events and lung issues. Jack Ferguson is one of the five captains for the North Track Team. Ferguson ran his 400m time 2 seconds slower than his original PR but still managed to grab first place.

North Eugene is going strong and getting quite a few 1st place events but sadly not enough to come out with the overall win for the meet.
