The 2014 Ford Escape is a 4 wheel drive 4 door family SUV. It has an 1.6 liter inline 4 cylinder that has a turbo that is intercooled. It has a 6 speed transmission with an overdrive in it. It gets approximately 22 miles per gallon in town and around 30 miles per gallon on the highway. The engine puts out 176 horsepower and 184 foot pounds of torque. It has a 15 gallon gas tank. It has a bunch of safety feature such as ABS (assisted braking system), Electronic stability control, child safety locks, and traction control.

The interior is large and spacious and has leather seats. The has electronic adjustable and heated seats. The heated seat setting goes from 0 to 6. It has AM/FM radio, CD player, satellite radio, auxiliary input. The steering wheel has stereo controls, cruise control, heated seat controls. It has bench seats in the back and fold down 3rd row seats.

The Ford Escape is an all round good family car with all the room and the good gas mileage. It has impressive power for a 4 cylinder. You can feel the turbo charger on it. As soon as it gets about around 3,500 RPMs it picks up and puts you into your seat. The steering is nice and tight and very responsive. The heated seats work very well. The back seats have plenty of room but the seats aren’t comfortable at all. Whereas the front seats are very comfortable and have a lot of adjustment including adjustable lumbar support.

In conclusion the Ford Escape is an a good family car. It has the three most important features for a family car it is roomy, good on gas, and very safe. It also has a lot of power for how big it is and only being a 4 cylinder. It is safe for the family to ride but also good to go fast and have a little fun in. The suspension is very smooth, so it is good for vacation, road trips and camping trips. I would recommend the 2014 Ford Escape for a family get around car.
