The Golden State Warriors have been on a hot streak this season only losing six games out of the 62 that have been played If that number does not impress you then maybe this one will: the Warriors have just made NBA history by winning their 45th consecutive home game with their win against the Orlando Magic.

The Warriors have just passed the historic 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ record of 44 straight home wins. It is quite apparent that just a few years ago, when the Warriors had missed their 17th playoff appearance in 18 seasons that no one expected the team in Oracle Arena to set such a historic benchmark.

The Chicago Bulls hold the NBA record for total wins in a season, a record that the Warriors have been stalking all season. At this point in the season the warriors only have room for four more losses if they wish to become one of the greatest teams to have stepped onto the hardwood.

With the help of the Warriors three All Star players, that’s one more than the Bulls had when they made history, they seem to have a very good chance of becoming the best team in NBA history. Stephen Curry and the Warriors have a special opportunity of becoming this generation’s Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
