Allica Derry

It’s getting close to the end of school and a lot of people are wondering what they are going to do with their summer. You could go out and volunteer somewhere or go to the coast with your family. There are a lot of little things you can do such as, town festivals or going out to a lake or the rapids. You could go hiking or go to an alpaca farm or to a garden nursery. You could do the typical stuff like signing up for a camp or maybe do something new and go to a workshop and learn how to make pottery or a sculpture.

You could go to a farm and pick fruits or you could go to the aquarium. You can stay at home and set up a slip n’ slide or make ice cream and play good quality video games. Maybe you could go to the Raptor Center, OMSI, or go see a performance (or just go to some concerts). The Saturday Market is always an option or the Picc-A-Dilly flea market. Eugene even offers a haunted history tour called Spirit Expeditions. Sticking with the same theme, you could go up to Portland and tour the Shanghai tunnels.

If you want to get your dog out, check out a dog park or just take them on a little hike. GloryBee is having a candle making class on the 13th if that’s something you would want to learn. Many local libraries have ongoing events such as at the Springfield library they have an event called Team Gaming that happens monthly on the fourth Thursday.

Whatever you do with your summer is your choice but, there are a ton of options out there. Just choose one, or a few.
